Schoolgrounds for Learning - combining leadership training for teachers with a vision to create greener, more interesting and stimulating schoolgrounds. Schoolgrounds for Learning provides a framework and training to guide schools to develop masterplans. Creating greener, more interesting and stimulating schoolgrounds enriches learning and play resources and provides opportunities for schools to reduce their water and energy use, produce less waste and increase biodiversity. The predominately online delivery format is specially designed for busy teachers. It builds on our exciting new Sustainability Wiz initiative and combines face-to face workshops, an eLearning training program and resources, teacher mentoring and peer-support. Research has demonstrated benefits such as a 71% increase in student physical activity and 64% reduction in bullying through schoolgrounds greening projects.
